Y! and MSN do not allow Mac to PC calls. I know Skype does, is this the best service for Mac 2 PC calls?

recently my pc to pc calls have been dropping a lot, it says it may be due to weak wfi signal or connection problems,,, the fact is i have a very excellent wifi signal, and connection seems ok,,, what could it be?
