cool video but…. how do i configure my telephone in my trixbox ? i dont know i alredy have 1 fx0 pci card, please help me , thanks
Very nice demo! How did you do record the Iphone usage? Very slick.
What I was hoping you would show is that you’d be able to pull up your contacts off your Iphone and dial one of those via your SIP account. Thanks again for a fantastic vid!
can you give me a link on where to go to download this? because for some reason i can’t find anything your talking about.
Thanks. Yes I know that Asterisk can greatly expand the capabilities of an 802.11 (WiFi) phone, but it appears that your Asterisk usage requires your home computer to be turned on 24/7, and that’s not what I want.
no, by WiFi you mean 802.11 I hope, it works like this, when I’m anywhere where there is a wifi signal I can connect to my home asterisk box and place calls from there. I also use Asterisk to spoof my Caller ID number so the person being called see my cell number. When I’m not in wifi I use cellular. doing this I can pay for a 400 minute plot from at&t but use about 1500 total min a month, and AT&T doesn’t see a penny of those extra minutes.
Brilliant tutorial. I hardly knew a thing about Asterisk before this. But doesn’t being tied to a computer take away some of the advantage of having a WiFi phone?
